Dog of all ages welcome

For dogs who have completed a Basic Obedience course and are not reactive. 

'The AKC's CGC 10-skill test demonstrates your dog's good manners and your responsible dog ownership. The 10 test items on the CGC test are practical, functional behaviors that every dog should have to be welcomed in the community.' 

 

This course is tailored to the items covered in the test. 

Skills covered:

• Accepting a friendly stranger

• Sitting politely for petting

• Appearance & Grooming

• Walking through a crowd

• Loose leash walking

• Sit & down on cue with an implied stay

• Coming when called

• Reaction to other dogs

• Reaction to distractions

The AKC CGC test will be conducted at the last week of class. Pass or fail, this is an excellent opportunity to asses your dogs skills and create your future training goals.

All dogs must be able to work on a flat collar on test day

For dogs who are not reactive. 

Ages 4 Months & Up

 

Are you looking for a fun way to connect with your dog, strengthen your relationship, work as a team and create a life long learner? 
 

AKC Novice Tricks include but are not limited to:

• Shake

• Spin

• Touch

• Paws Up

• Sit Pretty

• Bark on cue

• Fetch

• Find it

• Push Ups

• Kiss

• Kennel Up

• Jump

• High Five

• And more

AKC Trick Test is included with the course. The AKC Trick Test will be offered at the end of the course for those who want to participate.

10 weeks and up

​

Would you like to learn how to play with your dog in a productive way?

​

Do you desire to increase your dog's motivation in obedience work?

​

Or you plan to pursue a protection sport with your dog?

 

First you must build play drive. The sooner we teach our dogs the rules of play and that it is ok to play, the faster and more fun the training process will go.

​

This class is run in the same hour as our Protection Training Class. Dogs are worked one at a time so adolescent dogs are not exposed prematurely to protection dog energy.

**Dogs in Play Drive Development training are required to participate in obedience classes.

6 months and up

​

Personal protection training is tailored to you and your goals for your dog. 

You may desire to train your dog for

• real world personal protection work

• a specific sport
  or

• desire to sharpen your dog's skills. 
   

Jason will talk to you about your goals. He will work your dog where it is and move toward the goals and plans you have.
